CSS Exam: SELECTION OF OPTIONAL SUBJECTS

Candidates should be attentive when selecting their optional subjects for the Civil Services Exam. The syllabi for each subject are similarly vast, however candidates should take certain factors into account when making their selection. For instance, they shouldn't select two lengthy subjects like Political Science and History. Additionally, candidates should avoid choosing themes with similar or related topics instead of ones in which they are performing poorly and are more familiar with. Before making a final selection, candidates should take into account the instructions they will get, the course syllabus, and the questions from prior years.
