Once upon a time, the affairs of the state were left to the army chief of a highly incompetent young Nawab who turned out to be a weak and vulnerable ruler as he led a reckless life. His traits and flaws were not appreciated. His rule was chaotic. These lines are about Nawab Siraj-ud-Doula & his commander Mir Jafar of Bengal. Truths that are so obvious should not so deliberately be misconstrued.
