Zacharia Sitchin

The controversial author Tzacharia Sitchin made a number of assertions regarding the Anunnaki, a race of extraterrestrial beings who, in his opinion, visited Earth in the distant past and had an impact on human history. Mainstream science and archaeology do not support Sitchin's beliefs, and many specialists have attacked his work as being factually incorrect and lacking supporting data.

A lot of people have refuted Sitchin's assertions concerning the mysterious planet Nibiru, which he said was the Anunnaki's home. Nibiru's existence is not supported by any scientific evidence, and according to NASA, no known space object poses a genuine threat to Earth.

It is accurate to say that Carl Sagan did advocate for forensic testing to be performed on Mesopotamian clay tablets in his book "The Dragons of Eden." Sagan's hypothesis, however, was unrelated to Sitchin's assertions regarding the Anunnaki or Nibiru and instead focused on the idea that prehistoric civilizations might have had knowledge that was ahead of its time and that this knowledge might have been preserved on clay tablets.
