Pakistani politicians who have been detained:

Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy served as Pakistan's fifth prime minister from September 1956 until October 1957. He objected to Gen. Ayub Khan's takeover of power. He was prohibited from politics by the Elective Bodies Disqualification Order (Ebdo), and in July 1960, he was charged with breaking the Ebdo. On false charges of "anti-state activities" under the 1952 Security of Pakistan Act, he was detained in Jan. 1962 and placed in solitary confinement in the Central Jail of Karachi.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:

Bacha Khan=37 years

Wali Khan =15 years(was not allowed to attend the funeral of his wife)

Ali Wazir: 2+ years

Bilor family lost many lives to political ideology

Sindh:

GM Syed=30 years

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was jailed and hanged

Asif Ali Zardari= 11+ years

Benazir Bhutto: 4 years

Balochistan:

Abdus Samad Achackzai (Khan Shaheed)=31 years

Nawab Noroz Khan+ 7 other leaders hanged = died in captivity

Punjab:

Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sanaullah, and other leaders were also jailed
