Pakistan's Fabricated Democracy Experiment: A Cycle of Inefficiency and Economic Decline
Every succeeding administration in Pakistan since the beginning of the fabricated democracy experiment more than three decades ago has perpetually made conditions worse for ordinary people while bringing wealth primarily to the ruling class. As a consequence, Pakistan now has a horribly depleted and deeply debt-ridden state economy. Furthermore, these incompetent rulers just blame past governments while racking up additional debt because they lack the wisdom and expertise needed to efficiently run the government. The nation is forced to accept the incompetent minstrels as its saviors because those who ought to and are capable of leading the state are kept out of the political process.
The experience of managed democracy in Pakistan has been characterized by a persistent worsening of living standards for the average person while the ruling class reaps disproportionate benefits. Each succeeding administration for the past three decades has been unable to rule successfully, leaving the state economy severely depleted and heavily indebted. Lacking the essential knowledge and experience, the rulers choose to place the blame for their own poor management on previous administrations.
Maladministration, misgovernance, and mismanagement have been pervasive in Pakistan's political system. Due to their incapacity to effectively manage the government, incompetent leaders have continuously made the issue worse. They continue the cycle of assigning blame while accumulating more debt rather than putting effective policies and changes into place. This form of government has resulted in a worsening economic catastrophe and a debt-ridden state.
The poor population has been devastated by Pakistan's worsening economic problems. Ordinary people suffer the most from rising poverty rates and limited access to essentials as the ruling class continues to acquire money. Those who are already having a difficult time making ends meet have been further marginalized as the economic gap has grown. The effects of poor management and economic decline disproportionately harm the poor, aggravating their plight.
In this system, the vast majority of people are not included in the decision-making process, while a small number of people are given the opportunity to exacerbate the already precarious situation. The skilled and deserving leaders who might be able to alter the nation for the better are marginalized and excluded from the political process. As a result, a small elite continues to hold a disproportionate amount of power, maintaining a system that consistently favors the ruling class while ignoring the demands of the general populace.
Election changes that give the people more control over their own destiny are the best way to address these problems. The political system can permit the inclusion of qualified leaders who can effectively govern and strive for the improvement of the nation by establishing fair and transparent electoral processes. In order to ensure that the interests of the larger public are represented in the decision-making process, it is critical to remove the obstacles that prohibit deserving people from engaging in politics. Pakistan can only escape the cycle of restricted democracy and open the door to a more inclusive and prosperous future by giving the people more power.
