Leadership and Management Capabilities: Reflections of an English Teacher

It's interesting to think that the Greeks used the terms "demagogue" and "pedagogue" to characterize leaders in a world that values leadership and management. The concept of a teacher as a leader, reflected by the term "pedagogue," is not only historically significant, but it also resonates intimately with my personal perspective as an English teacher.

Teaching is more than a job for me; it is my raison d'être. It's more than a job; it's a passion that has propelled my dedication and commitment to guiding and encouraging pupils through the complexity of language and literature. This significant link between teaching and leadership emphasizes the need of being a successful manager as well as an inspiring leader in the educational sphere.

As I reflect on my career as an educator, I realize that the time has come for a new chapter. After more than two decades in the classroom, I am eager to widen my views and explore the world of research. Writing has become a burning ambition in addition to teaching. With a plethora of expertise and knowledge gained over the years, I am well-positioned to contribute to academic discourse and push the boundaries of English language. This transition is not a departure from my job as a teacher, but rather an extension of it, in which the sharing of information through research can improve my students' learning experiences.

Join me in this investigation of leadership, management, and the ever-changing position of an English teacher willing to embrace the dual journey of teaching and research in order to make a more meaningful effect in the world of education and research.
