Pakistan's Helplessness of Vulnerable People: A Tragic incident

“As flies to wanton boys are we to the gods.

They kill us for their sport.”  Shakespeare King Lear

The savage killing of Giran Naz, the wife of local tribesman Khan Muhammad Marri, and her two kids, Mohammad Nawaz and Abdul Qadir, in the recent tragic occurrence, has once again brought attention to the weakness of the vulnerable in Pakistan. The bodies of the victims, who had been recognized by the authorities as having been tortured before being slain, were later found in a well in the Haji Kot neighborhood of the district. The bereaved family is left with nothing but pain and a sense of helplessness despite assurances of a fair and thorough investigation. Hundreds of Marri tribesmen, including Khan Muhammad Marri, have begun a march from Barkhan to Quetta in an effort to protest outside the Balochistan Assembly and demand justice. the state institutions must act to stop such inhumane practices.
