Additionally, he examines the potential ethical ramifications of such technology, including the need for privacy and security protection, the possibility of uneven access, and other issues.

Ray Kurzweil examines the idea of "cyborgs" and the blending of human and machine intelligence in his book "The Age of Spiritual Machines." He talks about how brain-machine interfaces could improve human cognition and get over physical obstacles like blindness or paralysis. Yet he also expresses worries about the potential loss of personal liberty and identity in a world where people and computers are becoming more and more interconnected.
